Watching

I purchased a new copy of Billy Graham's "The journey: Living by faith in an uncertain world" for $9.99. Let me add that i got a bargain book which is a new book at a bargain price. I thought i'd found a good deal till i came back later and realized i coulda gotten a used but very good copy from amazon.com for just $4.47. Still qualifies for the super saver shipping. Well, today i take a peak at my cart to see which item has decresed and which one has increased and the message i get is this:

Here's one thing i can say about amazon. If you want to buy something or if you are THINKING of wanting to buy something, put it in your cart and watch it. Watch it like an auction on ebaybecause prices flactuate like crazy. Sometimes you will see the same item listed twice, both sold by amazon and both having different prices. Same edition or same items. Wiered, huh?

I heard someone say one time that if your church wants the organ to be on the right side of the church and you want it on the left, have them put it on the right but everyday, move it an inch and by the end of the year, it would be where it is without anyone taking notice. I usually tend to relate it to marriage as in if your spouse wants a table on the right side of the hall, put it there and keep moving it an inch. Whatever it is, the point is, people don't take notice of things and are more likely to take less notice if it an action is done in very small increments.
Why do i say this, that pedismooth item increases in price by a penny everyday - I've been watching. it makes you less likely to notice it's increased if the change is only a penny.

The most radical change i've ever seen in an item is the billy graham book. A used book going for $615. 09 when it was only $4.47 just yesterday is absolutely atrocious. Of course common sense clearly states don't buy it, be it an error in listing or not.
On the other hand, you could lock in a great deal if a more expensive item is wrongly listed for a very cheap price. I've purchased a professional griddle for $9.99 before and after watching for over 2 years now, the price hasn't dropped below $20 since that time. These days, i find it on sale for $29.99.
Anyway, my whole point here is keep watch. When i say watch, i mean watch carefully, paying attention to every little detail.
